Chad Daybell is charged with murder of his wife's (Lori Vallow-Daybell) two children JJ Vallow and Tylee Ryan and his former wife Tammy Daybell who died a few weeks before Daybell and Vallow married. Vallow's children were last seen on different days in September 2019. Law enforcement officials found their remains on Chad Daybell's rural property in Fremont County nine months later. Along with the murder charges, Chad Daybell is charged with insurance fraud stemming from life insurance policies that allegedly paid him money after his wife's death. Today Judge Steven W. Boyce will listen to a number of motions. The motions deal with preparing for Daybell's trial starting on April 1, 2024. Some of the motions include removing the death penalty, amending wording from the original indictment, limiting the state arguments to those discussed in Lori Vallow-Daybell's trial and moving the trial back to Fremont County from Ada County or at least somewhere closer in eastern Idaho. They may also be discussing whether to allow media cameras in court. |
