Andres Tarnava

Andres Tarnava is charged with fatally shooting, dismembering and burning the remains of Marisol Klingelhofer, 49, in April 2021. Tarnava, who had once dated Klingelhofer, allegedly confessed to killing her. He told police he also dismembered her and burned her remains in barrels. Following the confession police discovered a burnt barrel with bones inside on a property in Atascosa County, San Antonio, that were confirmed to be Klingelhofer's. Tarnava told investigators that he was angry with Klingelhofer because he believed she stole his late father's wallet and other items from him. Tarnava is classified as a habitual offender so he could face 25 to 99 years or life in prison if he is found guilty.
