Air Force Reserve officer Major Andre McDonald received 20 years for the 2019 murder of his wife Andreen McDonald. Andreen Nicole McDonald, a San Antonio businesswoman, was 29 when she was reported missing March 1, 2019, She was last seen alive on Feb. 28, 2019. McDonald was the prime suspect in his wife's disappearance when family and friends reported her missing when she didn’t show up at work. Andre McDonald told deputies his wife was being treated at a Baptist Emergency Hospital facility though officials there said she was not a patient. He later said he did not know where she was and then stopped cooperating after hiring an attorney. After months of searching, officials found Andreen's remains in July 2019, at a private property in north Bexar County six miles from where the couple lived. Soon after the discovery, Andre McDonald was charged with murder. Investigators also discovered that Andre McDonald had purchased a shovel, an ax, a hatchet, large plastic bags, gloves, and a couple of 5-gallon gas cans two days after his wife disappeared. He now faces a tampering with evidence charge. |
