Adel Ramos, 45, is accused in the murder of Sacramento police officer Tara O'Sullivan. Ramos is facing several charges including the murder of Officer O'Sullivan and the attempted murder of another officer, Daniel Chipp. Ramos is also being charged of possessing an illegal firearm - specifically, an AR-15 style assault rifle. Ramos also faces special circumstance charges of intentionally killing an officer performing her duties and lying in wait to kill her. Officers went to a residence in response to a call regarding a disturbance between a male and a female. Twenty minutes later, the officers on the scene reported shots fired and one officer hit. Several hours later Ramos surrendered.
