Beezy is facing a charge of capital murder with remuneration (murder-for-hire). Prosecutors claim Yella Beezy paid Kewon White to kill MO3. On November 11, 2020 MO3 was fatally ambushed and shot dead on Interstate 35E in Dallas. A feud between the Dallas rappers Yella Beezy and MO3 was part of a long-standing rivalry within the Dallas rap scene. Both rappers were rising stars from Dallas and often competed for recognition from the same audience. Yella Beezy and MO3 exchanged diss tracks and insults on social media over several years. Prosecutors say Kewon Dontrell White is the person who shot MO3. The investigation revealed Devin Maurice Brown was angry over a Facebook video involving Mo3 and a woman, and he placed 'numerous' phone calls to Kewon White, on the day of the murder. Brown contacted a witness multiple times before MO3's death to ask if he was at a specific location. Kewon White faces a murder charge and charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
