Tyler Robinson is accused of murdering Charlie Kirk on the campus of Utah Valley University. Kirk, a right-wing political activist, author, and media personality, was speaking at an organised event at the University on September 10, 2025 when he was shot in the neck, A bolt-action rifle was recovered near the shooting, and a screwdriver was found on the roof from where the fatal shot was fired. DNA from the towel that was wrapped around the firearm and the DNA on the screwdriver are a positive match to Robinson. Following a huge man-hunt, Robinson had been persuaded to surrender by his father. Robinson is currently charged on suspicion of aggravated murder, a felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily injury, and obstruction of justice.
