Tomas Rivas one of four individuals accused in the Young Park shooting in Las Cruces, New Mexico. All four suspects face charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. The shooting, which occurred during an unsanctioned car meet on March 21, 2025, left three people dead and 15 others injured. Rivas, who was 20 at the time of his arrest, is the only adult among the accused. Despite the other three accused being under 18 at the time of their arrests, they will all be tried as adults. The trials for the other suspects, Nathan Rivas, Gustavo Dominguez, and Josiah Ontiveros, are scheduled to begin later in February and in March and in April respectively.
