Billy Adams III (known professionally as 'Ace NH') faces charges of first-degree murder and the killing of an unborn child for the January 2023 death of his pregnant girlfriend, 22-year-old Alana Sims. Prosecutors state that Adams lured Sims—who was five months pregnant with his child—to a New Tampa neighborhood under the guise of attending a party to celebrate his recent legal victory. She was shot and killed next to her SUV. Her toddler son was found unharmed, sleeping in his car seat in the back of the vehicle. Investigators state that when confronted with video evidence, Adams changed his story, claiming he shot Sims in self-defense after she allegedly pulled a gun on him. Adams was originally jailed for the November 2020 shooting deaths of Trevon Albury and Daniel Thompson at a recording studio in Lutz, Florida. A jury acquitted Adams of those double-murder charges after he testified that he shot the two men to protect himself and the studio owner from an armed robbery. Just three days after walking out of court a free man, Adams allegedly killed Alana Sims.
