Sidney Moorer

Sidney Moorer and his wife Tammy Moorer face kidnapping charges in the disappearance of Heather Elvis. Heather was last heard from the morning of December 18, 2013. Her car was found abandoned at Peachtree Landing in Socastee, South Carolina just outside of Myrtle Beach, the next day. Heather is now presumed dead. Investigators revealed that Elvis had a previous relationship with Sidney Moorer. Sidney is also harged with obstruction of justice charge. A Judge has ruled that the kidnapping charge and the obstruction of justice charge should be tried seperately. No date has been set yet for the trial of Tammy Moorer. Charges against Tammy of murder, two counts of indecent exposure, and obstruction of justice were dropped. Charges against Sidney of murder and two counts of indecent exposure were also dropped. The Moorers spent 11 months in jail until a judge granted them each a $100,000 bond in January 2015. In September 2015, the judge modified the Moorers' bond to allow the couple to move to Florida for work.
