Samuel Bock

Samuel Bock is accused that on January 25, 2022 he caused the death of Carlos Dominguez,87, on US Highway 181 by driving and operating a motor vehicle at a speed that was not reasonable and prudent under the circumstances than existed and or failing to apply the brakes in a timely and reasonable manner in which acts and omissions caused his vehicle to collide with the vehicle occupied by Carlos Dominguez. Dominguez was a retired Air Force veteran. Samuel Bock was returning to where he lived with his grandparents John and Stephanie Bock. Approaching the landmark CPS Bridge the speed limit is 65mph. Witnesses describe a silver Cadillac pass them driving at a high rate of speed. A witness saw the Cadillac t-bone a black Chevy SUV that was occupied by Carlos Dominguez. Mr Dominguez was displaying no signs of life. Investigators downloaded data from the Cadillac and the Air Bag Control Module gives data in 5 second increments regarding speed the vehicle was going at and whether the brakes were applied. 5 seconds before the crash the vehicle driven by Samuel Bock was travelling at 104mph. Carlos Dominguez died from catastrophic injuries - his heart was completely torn in half, his lungs were pulverized, his pelvic bone and ribs were shattered all caused by the speed and impact of the crash.
