25-year-old Mozambican national Phethe Simiao confessed to raping, kidnapping and killing six-year-old Soweto girl Amantle Samane who disappeared from her home in October 2024. Her body was found in Simiao's home days later. Simiao also pleaded guilty to contravening the Immigration Act.
