Luke Truesdel

Luke Truesdel is is charged with four counts of first-degree murder in the beating deaths of Amanda Parker, 33, Romondus Cooper, 44, Keonna Ryan, 26, and Brent Brown, 34, to death with a metal pipe on June 5, 2024 in rural Linn County, Iowa. Ryan, Cooper and Parker were declared dead at the scene, while Brown died later at a hospital. During conversations with officers, Truesdel allegedly made a number of incriminating statements, including 'I hit em each' and told officers where to find the pipe used in the attack. He is also alleged to have said 'I have no regrets' and 'I will never do it again. I feel so much better'. Asked by officers why he had attacked the four, Truesdell responded, 'the dead honest truth is to make a movie'. However, police do not believe Truesdell made a video of the assaults and the alleged statements will not be heard by a jury because he was not read his Miranda rights before the statements were made.
