Judge M K Parker

The Judicial Conduct Tribunal will hear complaints against Western Cape High Court Judge M K Parker. These allegations, brought by ten judges of the Western Cape High Court and the Cape Bar Council, could result in impeachment if proven. The Tribunal will examine two key complaints: 1) Lying under oath - Judge Parker initially alleged he was assaulted by Judge President John Hlophe in an affidavit but later contradicted himself in a second affidavit; and 2) Failure to disclose financial misconduct - Parker is accused of omitting critical information in his application and interview for judicial appointment, particularly regarding his former law firm's alleged misuse of R8 million in client funds.
