Darrell Brooks

Darrell Brooks Jr. of Milwaukee was guilty of six counts of first-degree intentional homicide charges and was sentenced to six life sentences for the 2021 Christmas Parade attack. Police said Brooks was fleeing the scene of a domestic disturbance on November 21 when he crashed into parade-goers in the Waukesha Christmas parade. Virginia Sorenson, 79, LeAnna Owen, 71, Tamara Durand, 52, Jane Kulich, 52, Wilhelm Hospel, 81 and Jackson Sparks, 8, were killed. In addition to the six deceased, there were 61 injured victims, including children and adults. Brooks now faces additional charges related to reportedly running over his child's mother with the same SUV used in the parade incident.
