Blaise Taylor is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and two counts of felony murder. Taylor is believed to have poisoned his girlfriend, 25-year-old Jade Benning, on February 25, 2023. She was pregnant at the time and Taylor, a former Tennessee Titans scout, is alleged to have been the father of the fetus. Taylor allegedly called 911 after the poisoning, saying that his girlfriend appeared to have had an allergic reaction. unborn baby died on February 27, 2023 and Jade Benning died on March 6, 2023. A friend of Benning's claims that in a phone call she overheard Benning accusing Taylor of putting something in her drink and that her drink 'tasted funny'. A medical examiner has stated that Benning had so much cocaine in her system that it couldn't have been recreational drug use and that the amount of cocaine in Benning's blood could only be reached through ingestion, not inhalation or injection.
