Alicia Andrews faces charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Jacksonville rapper Julio Foolio whose real name was Charles Jones. Prosecutors say Andrews acted as a lookout in the early morning hours of June 23, 2024, tracking the 26-year-old artist Julio Foolio as he celebrated his birthday in Tampa. Foolio became cornered in a hotel parking lot which is where three gunmen opened fire, killing him and injuring three others. Surveillance video recorded three shooters firing at Foolio's vehicle in the parking lot, killing him. Foolio was a part of the 6 Block Gang which had feuds with rival gangs, ATK and 1200. The feuds spanned over a decade with dozens of murders by and against both sides. Court documents accuse Andrews, Isaiah Chance, Sean Gathright, Davion Murphy and Rashad Murphy of traveling from Jacksonville to Tampa on June 22, 2024, in two separate cars to find and kill Jones in retaliation for an ongoing Jacksonville gang war. Prosecutors are not seeking the death penalty against Andrews but are seeking it against her four co-defendants when their trials take place. |
