Colorado is divided into 22 judicial districts, with diverse geographies, demographics and crime patterns. Filling the position of district attorney is accomplished by partisan elections strictly limited by Colorado\u2019s stringent fundraising and expenditure rules.<\/p>\n<p>Hundreds of thousands of dollars are being used to pay for negative adverts by George Soros, a multibillionaire, against incumbent District Attorney Pete Weir (Republican).
