{"id":9401,"date":"2017-10-07T07:31:43","date_gmt":"2017-10-07T11:31:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=9401"},"modified":"2017-10-07T09:18:57","modified_gmt":"2017-10-07T13:18:57","slug":"journalist-kim-walls-head-found-sea-near-copenhagen","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/10\/07\/journalist-kim-walls-head-found-sea-near-copenhagen\/","title":{"rendered":"Journalist Kim Wall&#8217;s head found in sea near Copenhagen"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">The head of Swedish journalist Kim Wall has been found, two months after she disappeared on a trip with a Danish submariner, Danish police say.<\/p>\n<p>Divers found bags containing her head, legs and clothing in Koge Bay, just south of Copenhagen, the city&#8217;s police inspector Jens Moller Jensen said.<\/p>\n<p>They were found not far from where Ms Wall&#8217;s torso was discovered 11 days after she boarded Peter Madsen&#8217;s submarine on 10 August.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Madsen, 46, denies murdering her.<\/p>\n<p>He\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-41048985\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">also denies<\/a>\u00a0a charge of mutilating her corpse.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Moller Jensen said the bags, found on Friday, had been weighed down with pieces of metal.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Yesterday morning we found a bag within which we found Kim Wall&#8217;s clothes, underwear, stockings, and shoes. In the same bag laid a knife, and there were some car pipes to weigh the bag down,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said a post-mortem examination confirmed the head was Ms Wall&#8217;s and that it showed &#8220;no sign of fracture&#8230; [or] any sign of other blunt violence to the skull&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>This would seem to contradict Mr Madsen&#8217;s statement that she had died after hitting her head on a hatch.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Wall, 30, was last seen alive on the evening of 10 August as she departed with Mr Madsen on his self-built 40-tonne submarine, UC3 Nautilus, for a story she was writing about his venture.<\/p>\n<p>Her boyfriend raised the alarm the next day when she did not return from the trip.<\/p>\n<p>Initially, Mr Madsen said he had dropped her off safely in Copenhagen, but he later changed his story to say it had been a &#8220;terrible accident&#8221;, that he had &#8220;buried her at sea&#8221; and planned afterwards to take his own life by sinking his submarine.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Wall&#8217;s torso was found on 21 August; a post-mortem examination revealed knife wounds to her genitals and ribcage, which were believed to have been caused &#8220;around or shortly after her death&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Danish Prosecutor Jakob Buch-Jepsen told a court\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-41493402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">earlier this month<\/a>\u00a0that footage of women being decapitated alive had been found on a hard drive believed to belong to Mr Madsen.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Madsen, who denied the hard drive was his, was detained for a further four weeks while investigations into the case continue.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-europe-41536552\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">The head of Swedish journalist Kim Wall has been found, two months after she disappeared on a trip with a Danish submariner, Danish police say.
