{"id":8862,"date":"2017-08-10T10:43:27","date_gmt":"2017-08-10T14:43:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=8862"},"modified":"2017-08-10T10:44:23","modified_gmt":"2017-08-10T14:44:23","slug":"police-hunting-putney-bridge-jogger-appeared-push-woman-path-bus-arrested-man","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/08\/10\/police-hunting-putney-bridge-jogger-appeared-push-woman-path-bus-arrested-man\/","title":{"rendered":"Police hunting Putney Bridge jogger who appeared to push woman into path of bus have arrested a man"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">Police hunting a jogger who appeared to push a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge have arrested a man.<\/p>\n<p>The Met Police said a 41-year-old was detained at an address in Chelsea on Thursday morning on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.<\/p>\n<p>The arrest comes after CCTV footage was released that showed the woman, 33, narrowly avoid serious injury due to the bus driver&#8217;s quick reactions.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Jogger &#039;pushed&#039; woman in front of bus - BBC News\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OuuHrVhykD4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>The suspect is in custody at a south London police station, the Met said.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the force said it had received a &#8220;huge response&#8221; to its appeal for information.<\/p>\n<p>CCTV of the incident, which happened on 5 May, was issued earlier in the week in an effort to trace the jogger after police attempts to establish his identity had failed.<\/p>\n<p>The footage shows a man barging the woman to the ground and off the pavement, into the road.<\/p>\n<p>The bus can then be seen swerving to avoid the woman&#8217;s head.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards the driver stopped the bus, at which point several passengers got off and went to help the victim.<\/p>\n<p>About 15 minutes later the jogger came back the other way across the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>The woman, who received minor injuries, tried to speak to him but he did not acknowledge her and carried on jogging.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-london-40889511\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">Police hunting a jogger who appeared to push a woman into the path of a bus on Putney Bridge have arrested a man.
