{"id":8468,"date":"2017-07-11T05:46:47","date_gmt":"2017-07-11T09:46:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=8468"},"modified":"2017-07-11T05:46:47","modified_gmt":"2017-07-11T09:46:47","slug":"man-charged-murdering-sleeping-boy-sydney","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/07\/11\/man-charged-murdering-sleeping-boy-sydney\/","title":{"rendered":"Man charged with murdering sleeping boy in Sydney"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">An Australian man has been charged with the &#8220;execution-style&#8221; killing of a 15-year-old boy who was shot in his bed.<\/p>\n<p>Brayden Dillon was sleeping on Good Friday in April when a masked gunman entered his family&#8217;s Sydney home and\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-australia-39597746\">shot him in the head<\/a>, police said.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, heavily armed officers arrested a 26-year-old man and charged him with murder.<\/p>\n<p>It came hours after police released images of a car being driven in the area around the time of the shooting.<\/p>\n<p>In April, police said the gunman had threatened Brayden&#8217;s mother before entering his room and shooting him at close range.<\/p>\n<p>His stepfather and young step-siblings were also in the house at the time.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Brayden&#8217;s murder was particularly callous,&#8221; Detective Chief Inspector Mark Henney said on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>He would have celebrated his 16th birthday on Wednesday, police said.<\/p>\n<p>The man will appear in a Sydney court on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-australia-40553044\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">An Australian man has been charged with the &#8220;execution-style&#8221; killing of a 15-year-old boy who was shot in his bed.
