{"id":7439,"date":"2017-05-12T06:38:55","date_gmt":"2017-05-12T10:38:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=7439"},"modified":"2017-05-12T06:44:08","modified_gmt":"2017-05-12T10:44:08","slug":"man-jailed-life-pouring-paint-girlfriends-throat-burning-alive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/05\/12\/man-jailed-life-pouring-paint-girlfriends-throat-burning-alive\/","title":{"rendered":"Man jailed for life after pouring paint down his girlfriend\u2019s throat and burning her alive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By\u00a0 <span class=\"byline\"><a class=\"author url fn\" href=\"http:\/\/metro.co.uk\/author\/georgia-diebelius-for-metro-co-uk\/\" rel=\"author\">Georgia Diebelius<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>A man has been jailed for life after he battered his girlfriend with an iron, poured paint down her throat and burnt her alive.<\/p>\n<p>Anthony Porter, 33, murdered Andraya Lyons, 38, after rowing with her at her work Christmas party.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>He followed her home after texting his sister: \u2018Some of us are angels, some of us are demons, and tonight the demons won.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Bristol Crown Court heard that Porter forced his way into her home and hit her over the head with an iron.<\/p>\n<p>He then stamped on her face and poured thick paint down her throat.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Porter later placed gas canisters between the\u00a0thighs of his girlfriend and doused her with white spirit before setting her on fire while she was still alive.<\/p>\n<p>Firefighters were called after neighbours smelled smoke and discovered Andraya\u2019s charred body on the living room floor at around 5.30am on December 10 last year.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>They found blood on the iron, porch, kitchen walls, and in the living room, and Porter\u2019s footprint in the grey paint he had poured on his girlfriend.<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, Porter admitted murdering Andraya, who leaves behind two sons aged five and eight.<\/p>\n<p>He was jailed for life with a minimum of 17 and a half years.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Peter Blair QC told him he would be subject to the sentence \u2018for the rest of your life\u2019 for the \u2018dreadful\u2019 murder.<\/p>\n<div>Source\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2017\/05\/11\/man-jailed-for-life-after-pouring-paint-down-his-girlfriends-throat-and-burning-her-alive-6631779\/#ixzz4grMNp67u\">metro.co.uk<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">By\u00a0 Georgia Diebelius A man has been jailed for life after he battered his girlfriend with an iron, poured paint down her throat and burnt her alive.
