{"id":7104,"date":"2017-04-28T23:28:09","date_gmt":"2017-04-29T03:28:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=7104"},"modified":"2017-04-29T05:19:28","modified_gmt":"2017-04-29T09:19:28","slug":"ex-cop-drunk-plows-5-middle-schoolers-florida","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/04\/28\/ex-cop-drunk-plows-5-middle-schoolers-florida\/","title":{"rendered":"Ex-Cop, drunk, plows down 5 Middle Schoolers in Florida"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"margin-bottom: .25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #414141;\">John Camfield, a former Mississippi police officer who allegedly plowed down 5 middle school students, killing 1 and leaving another in critical condition in Polk County, Florida Thursday afternoon, is being held on $600,000 bail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: #414141;\">Camfield continued driving from the location where he plowed into the 5 children, but hit a vehicle driven by a pregnant woman about \u00be mile down the road, <\/span><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-7108\" src=\"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Camfield-car-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Camfield-car-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Camfield-car-678x381.jpg 678w, https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/Camfield-car.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>where he was apprehended after stumbling out of his vehicle and falling into an off-duty deputy\u2019s patrol car so hard he left a dent.<\/p>\n<p>Preliminary investigation shows Camfield did not brake either before or after he hit the children.<\/p>\n<p>Camfield initially refused a breathalyzer test at the scene on Thursday.
