{"id":6960,"date":"2017-04-25T19:35:22","date_gmt":"2017-04-25T23:35:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=6960"},"modified":"2017-04-25T19:35:22","modified_gmt":"2017-04-25T23:35:22","slug":"italy-arrests-man-planned-attacks-non-believers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/04\/25\/italy-arrests-man-planned-attacks-non-believers\/","title":{"rendered":"Italy arrests man who planned attacks on &#8216;non-believers&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"article-description\">Italian police on Monday arrested a man they described as &#8220;extremely dangerous&#8221;, who had reportedly already planned terrorist attacks in Italy and used social media to recruit potential accomplices.<\/div>\n<div id=\"article-body\">\n<p>The 29-year-old had promoted Islamist extremism online, calling in one message for &#8220;non-believers&#8221; to be &#8220;roasted on kebab skewers&#8221; and fed to dogs, according to a police report.<\/p>\n<p>A judge for preliminary investigations described him as &#8220;an extremely dangerous subject&#8221; who posed a &#8220;very high risk of moving on to carrying out serious acts of violence&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The man, who had lived in Italy since 2008, used &#8216;walkie-talkie app&#8217; Zello to discuss his plans to carry out an attack in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>According to a report from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rainews.it\/dl\/rainews\/articoli\/In-manette-reclutatore-Isis-progettava-attentati-in-Italia-Torino-2a247a72-7833-45d6-8f9d-f783d94e2fa6.html?refresh_ce\">Rai News<\/a>, he also shared material about combat techniques, how to throw police investigators off track, and behaviours to adopt in order to become &#8220;invisible&#8221; while living in a Western country.<\/p>\n<p>In one chat group, he styled himself as the Isis group&#8217;s spokesperson in Italy, using the nickname &#8216;ibn dawala7&#8217;, meaning &#8216;son of the state&#8217;, and swore allegiance to Isis chief Abu Bakr Al-Baghdadi.<\/p>\n<p>He also shared images of terror group Isis on Facebook, and used social media to praise recent terror attacks across Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Turin police, assisted by Italy&#8217;s Special Operations Group, arrested the man on Monday afternoon, following seven months of surveillance after an FBI tip-off.<\/p>\n<p>According to investigators, he had been living with an Italian mother and son, who had come to think of him &#8220;almost as an adopted child&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Italy has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelocal.it\/20170410\/italy-expels-isis-sympathizer\">expelled a total of\u00a031 people<\/a> from the country over terror links so far this year.
