I said it, I was wrong, and I apologise&#8221;.<br \/>\n&#8220;I&#8217;ve never said I&#8217;m a perfect person nor pretended to be someone I&#8217;m not. I pledge to be a better man tomorrow.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Trump said in the 2005 video &#8220;you can do anything&#8221; to women &#8220;when you&#8217;re a star&#8221; and brags about trying to grope and kiss women.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zuCKVZXJczY?autoplay=0\" width=\"800\" height=\"500\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Top Republicans condemned the comments.<\/p>\n<p>His running mate Mike Pence said he was &#8220;offended&#8221; by Mr Trump&#8217;s video but grateful he had expressed remorse and apologised to the American people.\u00a0&#8220;We pray for his family&#8221; he said <a class=\"story-body__link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mike_pence\/status\/784799653547999234\">in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>His election rival Hillary Clinton called them &#8220;horrific&#8221;.\u00a0&#8220;We cannot allow this man to become president,&#8221; she\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HillaryClinton\/status\/784497331647422464\">posted on Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Another TV debate between Donald \u00a0Trump and Hilary Clinton will take place on Sunday evening in St Louis.<\/p>\n<p>Trump recently said he would not bring up stories about Bill Clinton&#8217;s infidelities in the debate, after previously threatening to do so.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Bill Clinton has actually abused women, and Hillary has bullied, attacked and shamed his victims.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the video, Trump told the Wall Street Journal there was &#8220;zero chance I&#8217;ll quit&#8221; and that he was getting &#8220;unbelievable&#8221; support.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">US presidential candidate Donald Trump has apologised for obscene comments about women he made in a newly released videotape from 2005.
