{"id":5837,"date":"2017-02-18T11:57:56","date_gmt":"2017-02-18T16:57:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=5837"},"modified":"2017-02-18T11:57:56","modified_gmt":"2017-02-18T16:57:56","slug":"woman-denied-pulling-ex-husbands-intestines-cleared-attempted-murder","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2017\/02\/18\/woman-denied-pulling-ex-husbands-intestines-cleared-attempted-murder\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman who denied pulling out ex-husband\u2019s intestines cleared of attempted murder"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UPDATE\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/players.brightcove.net\/4221396001\/V19oeQPdg_default\/index.html?videoId=4967650247001&amp;applicationId=BIRMINGHAMMAIL%20Embed%20Offsite\" width=\"640px\" height=\"360px\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>A woman who denied pulling out part of her ex-husband\u2019s intestines after they had sex at her Birmingham home has walked free from court.\u00a0 A jury at Birmingham Crown Court, who had deliberated for two-and-a-half hours, found Dalya Saeed not guilty of attempted murder and wounding with intent.\u00a0 The 35-year-old burst into tears and bowed her head when the jury announced its verdicts.<\/p>\n<p>The court had heard previously that 31-year-old Bilal Miah had met Ms Saeed when they worked in a restaurant.\u00a0 They had a daughter together but split up in 2013 and he had remarried.<\/p>\n<p>Taxi driver Mr Miah said that on October 19, 2015, his ex-wife had phoned him and asked him to come to her home in Forest Road, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.birminghammail.co.uk\/all-about\/moseley\" data-action=\"moseley\" data-content-type=\"section-topic\" data-track=\"false\" data-type=\"inline\" data-word-count=\"1\">Moseley<\/a>, to discuss their daughter.\u00a0 He said they had consensual sex but had then argued, the court heard.\u00a0 They then started to have sex again but she suddenly stabbed him twice in the stomach before taking hold of his intestines and pulling them, jurors heard.\u00a0 He managed to get out of the flat but she continued the attack in the street, the court heard.\u00a0 Ms Saeed said in her evidence that she had acted in self-defence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI fully believed it was going to be my final night,\u201d she said. \u201cI was just looking for something to cut.
