Anvar Ghambari (39) attacked the victim in the school yard when both men were dropping their sons off in the morning.<br \/>\nHe wanted to confront the victim about comments he allegedly made about his wife and stabbed the victim four times around the head and punched and kicked him.<\/p>\n<p>Ghambari of Cushlawn Way, Tallaght, pleaded guilty at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court to assault causing harm to Majid Suhrabi at St Melroon&#8217;s school, Tallaght on March 1, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>The court heard that Ghambari did not come armed to the incident but he pulled a metal stabiliser from a children&#8217;s bicycle during the attack.<\/p>\n<p>Ghambari was shouting &#8220;I&#8217;m going to kill you, I swear to god, I&#8217;m going to kill you&#8221; while he stabbed the victim&#8217;s head before departing the yard.<\/p>\n<p>One-off<\/p>\n<p>The victim still suffers from memory loss.<\/p>\n<p>Both he and Ghambari were asked not to bring their sons to school in case of a repeat and Mr Suhrabi said he missed doing this.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Martin Nolan adjourned the case two weeks ago having heard evidence and remanded Ghambari in custody.<br \/>\nHe accepted that this was &#8220;a one-off fall from grace&#8221; for Ghambari, who has no previous convictions.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that a report by the Probation Services was positive.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday Judge Nolan sentenced Ghambari to three years in prison which he suspended in full.<\/p>\n<p>He said &#8220;even though what he did was reprehensible and it was a frightening experience for the victim, I don&#8217;t believe he deserves an immediate custodial sentence.
