Police are investigating two other deaths at a nursing home where a nurse accused of killing eight elderly patients worked, CTV London has confirmed.<\/p>\n
In late October, police charged Elizabeth Wettlaufer with eight counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of eight seniors who were living in nursing homes at the time of their deaths: Caressant Care in Woodstock and Meadow Park in London.<\/p>\n
Police said the homicides occurred between 2007 and 2014, when patients were allegedly administered a drug.<\/p>\n
Wettlaufer was registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario in 1995. She resigned in September of this year.<\/p>\n
Wettlaufer, 49, is appearing via video link at a courthouse in Woodstock Thursday morning.<\/p>\n
CTV London confirmed Thursday that police are investigating two other nursing home deaths. However, authorities would not provide any other details.<\/p>\n
Ontario Provincial Police Sgt. David Rektor said the case is an \u201congoing\u201d investigation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe continue to follow up on numerous leads that have been and continue to be provided to the investigative unit. We are not in a position to confirm any further details of this active investigation.\u201d<\/p>\n
