{"id":3488,"date":"2016-11-30T19:04:30","date_gmt":"2016-12-01T00:04:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=3488"},"modified":"2016-11-30T19:04:30","modified_gmt":"2016-12-01T00:04:30","slug":"cooking-club-sunday-dec-4-beef-stew","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2016\/11\/30\/cooking-club-sunday-dec-4-beef-stew\/","title":{"rendered":"Cooking Club for Sunday Dec 4: Beef Stew"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Let&#8217;s make Beef Stew!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Asfchic<\/strong> and I are cranking up our crock pots and planning a great Sunday dinner that is easily adaptable to your individual preferences.\u00a0 Our recipe calls for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"3868\" data-nameid=\"3868\">2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"1684\" data-nameid=\"1684\">1\/4 cup all-purpose flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"16421\" data-nameid=\"16421\">1\/2 teaspoon salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"16406\" data-nameid=\"16406\">1\/2 teaspoon ground black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"4342\" data-nameid=\"4342\">1 clove garlic, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"16380\" data-nameid=\"16380\">1 bay leaf<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"16404\" data-nameid=\"16404\">1 teaspoon paprika<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"4397\" data-nameid=\"4397\">1 onion, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"7428\" data-nameid=\"7428\">1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"5460\" data-nameid=\"5460\">1 1\/2 cups beef broth<\/span> (with extra in case you need it)<\/li>\n<li>1 packet of brown gravy mix<\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"4442\" data-nameid=\"4442\">3 potatoes, diced (or more if you like taters)<br \/>\n<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"4279\" data-nameid=\"4279\">4 carrots, sliced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"recipe-ingred_txt added\" data-id=\"4292\" data-nameid=\"4292\">1 stalk celery, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can make some alterations and additions.\u00a0 You could use garlic powder and onion powder instead of garlic and onions, or add red wine, parsley, peas, mushrooms, or an onion soup mix packet.\u00a0 Stew can be served on its own, or over mashed potatoes or noodles, or even with a nice crusty bread and a salad.<\/p>\n<p>You know your crock pot better than we do, so as a general guideline, 2 hrs on high then 2 hours on low should do it.\u00a0 You can check for tenderness after that and keep going if you need to.<\/p>\n<p>Please come and cook with us on Sunday!
