An estimated \u00a34million in cash and a kilo of cocaine was found at a south London property after police stopped a suspicious vehicle before making further searches at an address linked to the driver.<\/p>\n

Met Police officers stopped the vehicle in Catford on Wednesday at around 6.30pm and seized \u00a335,000 after searching the vehicle and driver.<\/p>\n

The driver was arrested on suspicion of possessing criminal property, and remains in custody.<\/p>\n

Further searches at an address linked to him led to officers finding \u00a34million in cash concealed in bags across two bedrooms.<\/p>\n

Officers also found 1kg of class A drugs, namely cocaine.<\/p>\n

Commander Paul Brogden said: “This is one of the largest cash seizures we’ve seen and shows the impact that proactive local policing can have in tackling serious and organised crime.<\/p>\n
