{"id":30380,"date":"2026-02-06T08:07:54","date_gmt":"2026-02-06T13:07:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=30380"},"modified":"2026-02-06T08:07:54","modified_gmt":"2026-02-06T13:07:54","slug":"fbi-most-wanted-terrorist-arrested-in-wales-can-be-extradited-judge-rules","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2026\/02\/06\/fbi-most-wanted-terrorist-arrested-in-wales-can-be-extradited-judge-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"FBI &#8216;most wanted terrorist&#8217; arrested in Wales can be extradited, judge rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of the FBI&#8217;s &#8220;most wanted terrorists&#8221;, who remained a fugitive for more than 20 years, can be extradited to the US to face trial after he was arrested in Wales, a judge has ruled.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Andreas San Diego, 47, allegedly carried out two bombings in the\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/topic\/san-francisco-8260\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">San Francisco<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0area in 2003, which were claimed by an animal rights group.<\/p>\n<p>He was arrested in November 2024 at a property in a rural area next to woodland in Conwy in North Wales, where he had been living under the false identity Danny Webb.<\/p>\n<p>A distinctive tattoo on his chest with the words &#8220;it only takes a spark&#8221; helped identify him as the fugitive.<\/p>\n<p>He was the first alleged domestic terrorist added to the FBI&#8217;s most wanted list in 2009, alongside the likes of late al Qaeda leader\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/hamza-bin-laden-symbolised-the-survival-of-al-qaeda-so-what-now-11774715\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Osama bin Laden<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Judge \u200bSamuel Goozee&#8217;s ruling at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court in London on Friday stated that there is no bar to San Diego&#8217;s extradition &#8211; and that the home secretary will make a final decision, which is expected to be a formality.<\/p>\n<p>San Diego has the right to appeal the decision at the High Court.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-article-widget sdc-article-image\" data-testid=\"article-image\">\n<figure class=\"sdc-article-image__figure\">\n<div class=\"sdc-article-image__wrapper\" data-aspect-ratio=\"16\/9\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"sdc-article-image__item\" src=\"https:\/\/e3.365dm.com\/25\/12\/768x432\/skynews-daniel-andreas-san-diego_7104479.jpg?20251208092110\" sizes=\"(min-width: 1024px) 1024px, 100vw\" srcset=\"https:\/\/e3.365dm.com\/25\/12\/384x216\/skynews-daniel-andreas-san-diego_7104479.jpg?20251208092110 380w, https:\/\/e3.365dm.com\/25\/12\/768x432\/skynews-daniel-andreas-san-diego_7104479.jpg?20251208092110 760w, https:\/\/e3.365dm.com\/25\/12\/1600x900\/skynews-daniel-andreas-san-diego_7104479.jpg?20251208092110 1024w, https:\/\/e3.365dm.com\/25\/12\/2048x1152\/skynews-daniel-andreas-san-diego_7104479.jpg?20251208092110 2048w\" alt=\"San Diego at Westminster Magistrates' Court in London in December 2024. if convicted, at a series of hearings at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court last year.<\/p>\n<p>His lawyers argued he could not get a fair trial in\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/topic\/donald-trump-5711\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a><\/strong>&#8216;s America, where the president had &#8220;engaged in a &#8216;purge'&#8221;
