(<span class=\"u-hide-visually\">Image:<\/span> Reuters)<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Beijing has denied accusations of espionage in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese foreign ministry did not immediately respond on Tuesday to a Reuters request for comment on the German case.<\/p>\n<p>Krah is a controversial figure, even within his own party.<\/p>\n<p>He faces his own investigation of money laundering and bribery by\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/topic\/china-5869\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>China<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0during his time in the European Parliament.
