{"id":29585,"date":"2025-07-03T05:43:54","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T09:43:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=29585"},"modified":"2025-07-03T05:46:52","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T09:46:52","slug":"four-charged-over-break-in-at-raf-brize-norton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2025\/07\/03\/four-charged-over-break-in-at-raf-brize-norton\/","title":{"rendered":"Four charged over break-in at RAF Brize Norton"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"ssrcss-suhx0k-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-1o5p6v2-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Four people have been charged by counter-terrorism police over a break-in at RAF Brize Norton last month, during which military planes were damaged.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Damage worth \u00a37m was caused to two Voyager aircraft at the Oxfordshire base on 20 June after they were sprayed with red paint.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Four suspects aged between 22 and 35 are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court later on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Counter Terrorism Policing South East said they had been charged with conspiracy to commit criminal damage, and conspiracy to enter a prohibited place knowingly for a purpose prejudicial to the safety or interests of the UK .<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A group called Palestine Action said it was behind the incident.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-suhx0k-RichTextComponentWrapper ep2nwvo0\" data-component=\"text-block\">\n<div class=\"ssrcss-1o5p6v2-RichTextContainer e5tfeyi1\">\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The four people due to appear in court are:<\/p>\n<div class=\"ssrcss-h5qd1q-ListContainer e5tfeyi0\">\n<ul role=\"list\">\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Amy Gardiner-Gibson, 29, of no fixed abode<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Jony Cink, 24, of no fixed abode<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Daniel Jeronymides-Norie, 35, of London<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Lewie Chiaramello, 22, of London<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A 41-year-old woman previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was released on bail until 19 September.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Another man was released without charge.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">In a statement, police said the Crown Prosecution service will argue in court that the alleged offences had a &#8220;terrorist connection&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">On Wednesday, MPs voted to ban Palestine Action under anti-terror legislation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The move passed by 385 votes to 26 after being proposed by the government.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/articles\/cly1jejw4xeo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">Four people have been charged by counter-terrorism police over a break-in at RAF Brize Norton last month, during which military planes were damaged.
