{"id":2697,"date":"2016-11-11T05:40:08","date_gmt":"2016-11-11T10:40:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=2697"},"modified":"2016-11-11T05:44:26","modified_gmt":"2016-11-11T10:44:26","slug":"extensive-criminal-and-dangerous-behavior-at-anti-trump-protests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2016\/11\/11\/extensive-criminal-and-dangerous-behavior-at-anti-trump-protests\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Extensive Criminal and Dangerous Behavior&#8221; at Anti-Trump Protests"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Americans protesting Donald Trump&#8217;s victory in the presidential election have continued to cause disturbances on the streets.<\/p>\n<p>Thousands gathered in cities across America including New York, Dallas and San Francisco to voice opposition to Trump\u2019s election.<\/p>\n<p>In Portland, Oregon, police publicly declared a &#8220;riot&#8221; due to &#8220;extensive criminal and dangerous behavior&#8221; and called the protest &#8220;unlawful&#8221; in tweets on the police department&#8217;s Twitter page.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;After several orders to disperse, police have used less lethal munitions to effect arrests and move the crowd,&#8221; another tweet added.<\/p>\n<p>Police tweeted that projectiles had been thrown at officers, and cars had been damaged.<\/p>\n<p>In Los Angeles crowds halted traffic and were mostly peaceful, but some vandalized property with graffiti, hurled bottles and launched fireworks.<\/p>\n<p>A number of arrests were\u00a0made sometime after 1 a.m., mostly for vandalism or disobedience of a lawful order, according to Sgt. Jack Richter, an LAPD spokesman.<\/p>\n<p>Richter said officers have noticed a \u201csignificant amount\u201d of graffiti on downtown buildings and will have \u201czero tolerance\u201d for anyone who remained in the downtown area after officers gave dispersal orders to various crowds of protesters.<\/p>\n<p>In Oakland, about 100 protesters poured onto the eastbound lanes of the Interstate 580 at 9:30 p.m. and blocked\u00a0traffic, according to California Highway Patrol Officer Marc Johnston.<\/p>\n<p>In Colorado, anti-Trump protesters managed to shut down Interstate 25 near downtown Denver<\/p>\n<p>Donald Trump said on Twitter &#8220;Just had a very open and successful presidential election. Now professional protesters, incited by the media, are protesting.
