A mother accused of murdering two of her children in the US has appeared in court for extradition proceedings after being arrested in the UK.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Kimberlee Singler, 35, was detained on Saturday in central London.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Her daughter, aged nine, and son, seven, were found dead at a home in Colorado on 19 December, along with her 11-year-old daughter who was injured, US police said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

They issued a warrant for her arrest a week later.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Singler has been charged with two counts of first degree murder, one count of attempted murder, three counts of child abuse and one count of assault.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) said she appeared at Westminster Magistrates Court on Monday for an extradition hearing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

She was remanded in custody and will next appear in court on 29 January.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

A spokesperson for the NCA said: “On Saturday 30 December 2023 in the Kensington area of London, officers from the National Crime Agency’s National Extradition Unit arrested a 35-year-old female wanted in the United States of America for offences including two counts of murder and one count of attempted murder.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In a press release last week, Colorado Springs Police Department said it first responded to a 911 call reporting a burglary at a Colorado residence at 00:29 local time on 19 December.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Singler and her eldest daughter were found injured and received treatment at the scene before being taken to hospital, it said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The force later determined the initial report of burglary to be “unfounded”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

In its latest release it confirmed she was arrested “without incident” in the UK, and said more information would be shared in a press conference to be scheduled in the future.<\/p>\n
