Keith Coleman, of Garland, has been found guilty of killing his girlfriend, 36 year old Christina Sargent, and her two children 10-year-old Duwayne Coke and 8-year-old Destiny Sargent. He was also found guilty of one count of gross sexual assault<\/p>\n

Coleman told police he chased down and strangled the children because they had witnessed their mother’s death. His lawyers said that in his confession, he was expressing guilt over not protecting them, not that he actually committed the crimes.<\/p>\n

Coleman didn’t testify in his own defense and now faces 25 years to life in prison.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
