A US Marshals fugitive team found the teen – who was in a distraught state – at about 5:30pm on Tuesday in Port Huron, Michigan, Deputy Marshal Robert Watson said.<\/p>\n
“She was pretty upset, she was crying and she was pretty scared,” he added.<\/p>\n
“She wasn’t sure what was going to be happening to her.”<\/p>\n
The authorities were able to trace the girl after being tipped off to search the home.<\/p>\n
She was later taken to hospital for a wellness exam, where she was found to be pregnant, Mr Watson said.<\/p>\n
Child Protective Services told Mr Watson on Thursday that her father was “very relieved” that the teen had been found.<\/p>\n
“He had been dealing with this nightmare for a year and a half. And he’s in a much better place now,” Mr Watson said.<\/p>\n
Officials told the Detroit Free Press that they are pursuing parental kidnapping charges against the girl’s mother, who had custody of the teenager.<\/p>\n
