{"id":23493,"date":"2022-09-26T15:53:45","date_gmt":"2022-09-26T19:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=23493"},"modified":"2022-09-26T15:53:45","modified_gmt":"2022-09-26T19:53:45","slug":"case-of-harry-dunns-alleged-killer-anne-sacoolas-to-be-heard-this-week-at-london-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2022\/09\/26\/case-of-harry-dunns-alleged-killer-anne-sacoolas-to-be-heard-this-week-at-london-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Case of Harry Dunn&#8217;s alleged killer Anne Sacoolas to be heard this week at London court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The case of Harry Dunn&#8217;s alleged killer is set to be heard at a UK court for the first time, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement confirming the court date for Anne Sacoolas, the CPS said: &#8220;A hearing has been scheduled for 29 September at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We remind everyone that Mrs Sacoolas has a right to a fair trial and there should be no reporting, commentary or sharing of information online which could in any way prejudice any proceedings.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It has not been confirmed whether Sacoolas&#8217;s attendance at the hearing is required.<\/p>\n<p>The US citizen\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/harry-dunns-alleged-killer-anne-sacoolas-wont-face-uk-court-next-week-as-planned-12515696\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had been due to appear via video link at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court in January this year<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>That was postponed to allow &#8220;ongoing&#8221; discussions with the legal team of the US national, the CPS said.<\/p>\n<p>Sacoolas, the wife of a US diplomat, is accused of causing Mr Dunn&#8217;s death by dangerous driving after a fatal road crash outside the US military base RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire on 27 August 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The 44-year-old had diplomatic immunity asserted on her behalf by the US government and was able to leave the UK 19 days after the collision.<\/p>\n<p>The Dunn family has said they would not be commenting on the case until the conclusion of criminal proceedings.<\/p>\n<p>Source: \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/sky-news-logo-1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/11\/sky-news-logo-1.png\" alt=\"Sky News\" width=\"100\" height=\"20\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/case-of-harry-dunns-alleged-killer-anne-sacoolas-to-be-heard-this-week-at-london-court-12705800\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news.sky.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">The case of Harry Dunn&#8217;s alleged killer is set to be heard at a UK court for the first time, the Crown Prosecution Service has said.
