A man has been shot dead by police who had discovered the body of another man and a seriously injured child at a property.<\/b><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Thames Valley Police officers were called to Denmead in Two Mile Ash, Milton Keynes, at 09:40 BST on Saturday over a “serious disturbance”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

They found a man in his 30s, who was later confirmed dead, and the child.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

A man in his 20s was also at the property and a Taser was deployed before shots were fired, police said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Police said first aid was given and ambulance crews treated the man they had shot, but he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) said it had received a referral from Thames Valley Police and said its investigation was “at a very early stage and no further information can be provided at this time”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Police have not revealed any more details about the child who was taken to hospital, such as an age or whether it was a boy or girl that was found.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The next of kin of both of the dead men have been notified, the force said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Assistant Chief Constable Christian Bunt said: “What has happened can only be described as absolutely tragic and will no doubt have an impact on the community.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

“Our thoughts are with those who have been impacted by this incident.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Police are not seeking anyone else in relation to the deaths and said officers were likely to remain outside the property for several days.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
