Judge Paul Yatron sentenced Shane Sperow to 21 months to five years in prison followed by three years of probation. \u00a0His charges included unsworn falsification to authorities and probation violations for prior convictions including possession of\u00a0prohibited offensive weapons and theft by deception.<\/p>\n<p>Sperow\u00a0was charged last April after telling a\u00a0judge on\u00a0his previous case that he was a retired and decorated member of the U.S. Marine Corps. \u00a0He also claimed he was awarded a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts during his service time.<\/p>\n<p>Sperow was handed a reduced sentence for the previous charges.\u00a0 Judge Thomas Parisi cited Sperow&#8217;s military experience and the fact he was injured during combat as reasons for the reduction.<\/p>\n<p>Seized from Sperow&#8217;s home was\u00a0a uniform with his name on it and a fraudulent certificate of honorable discharge.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">READING, Pa.
