Aid workers say about 100 unaccompanied minors were left inside the \u201cJungle\u201d with nowhere to sleep overnight.\u00a0 This is in spite of French officials claims the camp is now empty.<\/p>\n

Caroline Gregory of Calais Action, said, “we were begging the French authorities to actually do something about the refugee children and nothing was done.\u201d<\/p>\n

The UK Home Office said French authorities were responsible for “all children in Calais during the clearance operation – including those being assessed for possible transfer to the UK”.\u00a0 234 minors have been brought to the UK since last week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
