{"id":16657,"date":"2020-02-22T04:17:21","date_gmt":"2020-02-22T09:17:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=16657"},"modified":"2020-02-22T04:18:30","modified_gmt":"2020-02-22T09:18:30","slug":"london-central-mosque-stabbing-man-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2020\/02\/22\/london-central-mosque-stabbing-man-charged\/","title":{"rendered":"London Central Mosque stabbing: Man charged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">A man has been charged with a stabbing which happened inside London&#8217;s Central Mosque during afternoon prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel Horton, 29, is accused of attacking Raafat Maglad at the Regent&#8217;s Park venue on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Maglad, who is in his 70s, sustained stab wounds to his neck.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Horton, who is accused of causing grievous bodily harm and possession of a bladed article, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>After receiving hospital treatment, Mr Maglad returned to the mosque for Friday prayers the day after being attacked.<\/p>\n<p>The muezzin &#8211; someone who calls Muslims to prayer &#8211; said it was &#8220;very important&#8221; for him to attend again.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;If I miss it, I just miss something very important.
