Documents from New York Giants kicker Josh Brown\u2019s 2015 arrest for domestic violence have been released and the details are alarming.<\/p>\n
Brown was arrested for fourth-degree assault\/domestic violence and the charges were dropped. \u00a0Police had looked through the NFL kicker\u2019s private journal, personal letters and emails, in which he admitted abusing his ex-wife Molly and hurting her \u201cphysically, emotionally and verbally.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cI have physically, mentally, emotionally and verbally been a repulsive man,\u201d Brown wrote\u00a0in one of his journal entries. \u00a0In that same entry, he\u00a0added, \u201cI have abused my wife.\u201d \u00a0According to the documents, Brown\u2019s behavior began after he was \u201cmolested as a young boy,\u201d at about age 6.<\/p>\n
\u201cI made selfish decisions to use and abuse women starting at the age of 7 …\u00a0I objectified women and never really worried about the pain and hurt I caused them. \u00a0My ability to connect emotionally to other people was zero. \u00a0My empathy levels were zero,\u201d Brown wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause I never handled these underlying issues I became an abuser and hurt Molly physically, emotionally and verbally. \u00a0I viewed myself as God basically and she was my slave.\u201d<\/p>\n
The most disturbing details come from a document reportedly signed by Brown and his ex-wife called a \u201cContract for Change.\u201d \u00a0In the contract, Brown describes in detail how he abused his ex: \u00a0\u201cI have physically, verbally and emotionally abused my wife Molly,\u201d Brown admitted. \u00a0\u201cI have controlled her by making her feel less human than me, and manipulated her with money. \u00a0\u201cI have disregarded my step sons\u2019 feelings and they have witnessed me abusing their mother.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Giants suspended Brown for the season opener after learning of his 2015 arrest, citing a violation of the league\u2019s personal conduct policy. \u00a0It is not known\u00a0whether the Giants organization had access to these documents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
