Chilling sketches drawn by a serial killer who claims to have murdered 90 women have been released by the FBI – in an effort to identify his victims.\u00a0\u00a0The drawings depict women who evil Samuel Little, 78, says he killed over a period of 45 years.\u00a0\u00a0Little, a former boxer, has been convicted of three murders but subsequently confessed to dozens more between 1970 and 2005.\u00a0\u00a0Investigators believe his confessions are true, and have so far been able to verify 34 of his confessions, the\u00a0New York Times<\/a>\u00a0reports.\u00a0\u00a0But Little, who has previously been arrested for rape and armed robbery, has said he does not know the names of those he killed, and cannot remember the dates the murders happened.\u00a0 Instead he has produced chalk pastel sketches of what they looked like.<\/p>\n

The FBI hopes families of those shown will be able to help identify them.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

In a statement, spokeswoman Shayne Buchwald said: “We are hoping that someone – family member, former neighbor, friend – might recognise the victim and provide that crucial clue in helping authorities make an identification.<\/p>\n

“We want to give these women their names back and their family some long awaited answers. It’s the least we can do.”<\/p>\n

Several victims have already been identified using Little’s drawings, the FBI revealed.\u00a0\u00a0However many of the women’s deaths are feared to have been unreported and univestigated.\u00a0\u00a0Little said he strangled the women – who he described as “my babies” – in his car.\u00a0\u00a0He targeted marginalised women, including drug users and prostitutes, and was confident he would not be caught.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0New York Magazine<\/a>\u00a0from prison, Little said: \u201cI never killed no senators or governors or fancy New York journalists – nothing like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf I killed you, it\u2019d be all over the news the next day. I stayed in the ghettos.\u201d<\/p>\n

He was arrested in 2012 on a drug charge, when DNA testing linked him to three unsolved murders committed between 1987 and 1989.\u00a0\u00a0He was given three life sentences and given no chance of parole.\u00a0\u00a0Little has been speaking to the FBI as part of a deal which would allow him to move prisons if he cooperates.<\/p>\n
