{"id":13830,"date":"2019-02-10T08:56:32","date_gmt":"2019-02-10T13:56:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=13830"},"modified":"2019-02-10T08:58:26","modified_gmt":"2019-02-10T13:58:26","slug":"tina-cantello-murder-killer-dies-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2019\/02\/10\/tina-cantello-murder-killer-dies-in-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Tina Cantello murder: Killer dies in prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">A cocaine addict who murdered a debt collector when she visited his home has died in prison.<\/p>\n<p>Geoffrey Hutton was serving a life sentence at HMP Long Lartin, in Worcestershire, for fatally stabbing mother-of-four Tina Cantello<\/p>\n<p>The 39-year-old, of Langdon Hills, Essex, was found guilty of Ms Cantello&#8217;s murder last November.<\/p>\n<p>The Prison Service said there would be an independent investigation into his death.<\/p>\n<p>Ms Cantello, 49, was found at Hutton&#8217;s home with 30 stab wounds after her family reported her missing.<\/p>\n<p>He was jailed for a minimum of 30 years in November following a two-week trial.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media-landscape has-caption full-width\"><span class=\"image-and-copyright-container\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-image__img js-image-replace\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/news\/624\/cpsprodpb\/0893\/production\/_101959120_tina.jpg\" alt=\"Tina Cantello\" width=\"976\" height=\"549\" data-highest-encountered-width=\"624\" \/><\/span><figcaption class=\"media-caption\"><span class=\"media-caption__text\">Ms Cantello was stabbed 30 times during the attack<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A Prison Service spokeswoman said: &#8220;HMP Long Lartin prisoner Geoffrey Hutton died in prison on 8 February.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;As with all deaths in custody there will be an independent investigation by the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The maximum security prison where Hutton died has housed numerous high-profile prisoners including radical cleric Abu Hamza and murderer Christopher Halliwell.<\/p>\n<p>It has previously been the scene of large-scale disruption, with six prison officers injured in October 2018 after a disturbance.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-essex-47183566\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">A cocaine addict who murdered a debt collector when she visited his home has died in prison.
