{"id":13433,"date":"2018-12-29T09:29:59","date_gmt":"2018-12-29T14:29:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=13433"},"modified":"2018-12-29T09:29:59","modified_gmt":"2018-12-29T14:29:59","slug":"bristol-drug-rape-photographers-twitter-account-suspended","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2018\/12\/29\/bristol-drug-rape-photographers-twitter-account-suspended\/","title":{"rendered":"Bristol drug rape photographer&#8217;s Twitter account suspended"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">The Twitter account of a convicted rapist has been suspended after a judge ordered it be taken down.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this month, Nigel Wilkinson was jailed for 16 years and six months after being\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-bristol-46607967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found guilty of drugging five men, voyeurism offences against three and the rape of one<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 45-year-old from Bristol used social media to identify victims and invited them for photo-shoots.<\/p>\n<p>A Twitter spokeswoman said the company would not be commenting on the matter.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"media-landscape has-caption full-width\"><span class=\"image-and-copyright-container\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"responsive-image__img js-image-replace\" src=\"https:\/\/ichef.bbci.co.uk\/news\/624\/cpsprodpb\/F0A8\/production\/_104980616_capture.jpg\" alt=\"Screen grab\" width=\"976\" height=\"976\" data-highest-encountered-width=\"624\" \/><\/span><figcaption class=\"media-caption\"><span class=\"media-caption__text\">Twitter said it would not comment on the matter<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Wilkinson,\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-bristol-37057773\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who was already serving a sentence of 11 years and six months for similar offences following a trial in 2016<\/a>, failed to turn up for sentencing on 19 December.<\/p>\n<p>Judge James Patrick described this as &#8220;cowardly&#8221; actions by a man who caused &#8220;severe psychological trauma&#8221; to his victims.<\/p>\n<p>He imposed an extended sentence of 20 years and six months, made up of 16 years and six months in custody and four years on licence.<\/p>\n<p>The sentence will run concurrently with his earlier prison term and he will not be eligible for parole until he has served two-thirds of the new custodial term.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-bristol-46709392\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">The Twitter account of a convicted rapist has been suspended after a judge ordered it be taken down.
