She allegedly shoved station host Erica Bivens in Charleston last Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>As well as a fractured skull, the West Virginia anchor suffered a ruptured ear drum in the altercation, the Charleston Gazette-Mail reports.<\/p>\n<p>It is not clear where the alleged fight occurred or what was the cause.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"story-body__link-external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wvgazettemail.com\/news\/cops_and_courts\/wsaz-meteorologist-accused-in-assault-of-news-anchor\/article_4d2eedb8-a75c-5645-9811-8e74914d9fba.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ms Ambriz could face up to a year in jail<\/a>, according to the Gazette-Mail.<\/p>\n<p>She is scheduled to appear at Kanawha Magistrate Court on 21 September.<\/p>\n<p>WSAZ&#8217;s station manager could not be reached for comment on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/world-us-canada-45371607\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">A local US TV weather presenter has been arrested after a row that left a news anchor with a fractured skull.
