{"id":12048,"date":"2018-08-13T07:47:13","date_gmt":"2018-08-13T11:47:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/?p=12048"},"modified":"2018-08-13T07:47:13","modified_gmt":"2018-08-13T11:47:13","slug":"depraved-rapist-jailed-for-34-years","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldjusticenews.com\/news\/2018\/08\/13\/depraved-rapist-jailed-for-34-years\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Depraved&#8217; rapist jailed for 34 years"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"story-body__introduction\">A serial rapist who carried out &#8220;horrific and utterly depraved&#8221; sex attacks on two adults and two children has been jailed for 34 years.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Hooper, formerly of Chilwell in Nottinghamshire, was\u00a0<a class=\"story-body__link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-nottinghamshire-44586893\">found guilty of 24 sex attacks<\/a>\u00a0in June.<\/p>\n<p>Nottingham Crown Court heard the 44-year-old committed the offences over a 20-year period.<\/p>\n<p>Hooper, who was sentenced on Friday, must also serve eight years on extended licence once released from prison.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"story-body__crosshead\">The charges:<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"story-body__unordered-list\">\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">14 counts of rape, including four on a child under 13<\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">Five counts of indecent assault<\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">Three counts of sexual assault, including one on a child under 13<\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">Assault by penetration<\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">Inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity<\/li>\n<li class=\"story-body__list-item\">Common assault<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Det Con Hannah Frame, from Nottinghamshire Police, said it was &#8220;the most horrific case of sexual abuse I&#8217;ve ever had to investigate&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>She thanked the victims for their &#8220;bravery and patience&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In effect he has given his victims a life sentence of the psychological impact these attacks have,&#8221; Det Con Frame said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It is only right that he is given such a lengthy sentence too and I know his victims will take great comfort from that.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/news\/uk-england-nottinghamshire-45169058\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bbc.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"mh-excerpt\">A serial rapist who carried out &#8220;horrific and utterly depraved&#8221; sex attacks on two adults and two children has been jailed for 34 years.
