Howell Donaldson III, 25, is accused in the apparently random shootings of Benjamin Mitchell, Monica Hoffa, Anthony Naiboa, and Ronald Felton. The killings occurred over several weeks in October and November and generated a massive police manhunt.
The search ended when Donaldson handed a bag that contained a gun to a co-worker at an Ybor City McDonald’s. Police later determined it was the same gun used in all four crimes.
If he is found guilty, Donaldson could face the death penalty.
