Timothy Herrington Jr pleaded guilty to killing former Ole Miss student Jimmie 'Jay' Lee in 2022. He was charged with capital murder. Investigators believe Herrington and Lee had a sexual relationship, and messages between the two show Lee went to Herrington's apartment the morning he disappeared. Minutes before Lee arrived at his apartment Herrington reportedly searched 'how to strangle someone'. Lee was reported missing on July 8 which is the day Herrington was allegedly seen on video driving Lee's car. Lee has never been found and a judge has now declared Lee legally dead.
