The golf icon Tiger Woods is to appear at the Martin County Courthouse where he is expected to formally alter a not-guilty plea he originally entered following an impaired-driving arrest earlier this year. Douglas Duncan, the attorney for Woods has filed a petition for a change-of-plea conference. The charges against Woods stem from a March 27, 2026, rollover crash on Jupiter Island, Florida. The Land Rover being driven by Woods clipped the back of a truck, causing his vehicle to overturn. Woods was charged with misdemeanor counts of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test after declining a urinalysis screening. Officers had noted severe signs of impairment at the scene. While Woods blew a 0.00 on alcohol breath tests, authorities found two hydrocodone pills (a prescription opioid painkiller) in his pocket. Woods stated at the time that he was reacting to prescription medication.
